Stipendium Hungaricum application – next step: Mandatory Medical Certificate
As the nomination process is coming to its end, we would like to inform you about the following step of the application, namely the submission of the Mandatory Medical Certificate.
If you have been nominated, you can proceed with your application, which means you will need to upload the obligatory Mandatory Medical Certificate to the online system by 15th April 2023.
If you did not become nominated by your Sending Partner, unfortunately, you cannot proceed with your Stipendium Hungaricum application for the academic year 2023/2024. However, you still have the option to contact your chosen university about the possibility and requirements of starting your studies as a self-financed student. For further details regarding self-financed studies, please contact the institutional coordinators. Based on the Act CCIV of 2011 on National Higher Education related to medical examinations of students from abroad, all nominated applicants are required to upload a medical certificate of satisfactory health condition.
Please make sure to upload your mandatory medical certificate until the given deadline (15 April), otherwise, you may not proceed with your application.
In order to upload this document, please log in to the online system (apply.stipendiumhungaricum.hu) and check the ‘Tasks’ section of your application, where you will find the newly added ‘Mandatory Medical Certificate’ Task as shown below.
Please make sure to upload your medical certificate and the required attachments to this task directly, and after uploading it, select the following option: ‘I have uploaded the mandatory medical certificate’.

The template describes which attachments are required to be submitted as well, please read it carefully and make sure to upload all necessary attachments as well.
All documents that cannot be obtained or produced in English or in Hungarian have to be translated and the translations have to be submitted together with a copy of the original document.
